Common Inquiries
How does the house call process work?
Simple: we come to you! When you request an appointment, you will be given an appointment window in which we expect to arrive at your home. Find the place that your pet is most comfortable. That is where exams and treatments will be performed. Results of diagnostic tests will be communicated via phone or email. Some treatments and medications are available directly through us, while others may be purchased through our online pharmacy or your local pharmacy.
What is the cost?
The cost will vary based on services provided. A comprehensive quality-of-life evaluation ranges from $150 to $200. For a routine appointment, the initial house call fee is $65. Exam, medications and diagnostics will be an additional fee. Feel free to contact us for a detailed estimate.
In home euthanasia is $260, which includes the house call and exam fees, as well as a paw impression. Cremation services are also available. Please inquire for specific pricing.
There may be an additional charge for very large or aggressive pets, or a travel fee for areas outside Little Rock.
Do you treat exotic animals?
At this time we are only able to provide end of life services for exotic animals, not wellness. Please contact us for more information.
Do you offer payment plans?
We are not able to offer payment plans at this time, and payment is due at time services are rendered. Estimates for services can be provided upon request. We accept cash and all major credit cards. At this time we are not able to accept Care Credit.
Do you accept pet insurance?
Yes! Pet insurance companies all differ in the types of services and dollar amounts that they cover, so please check with your insurance company for the specific coverages that they offer.
Will you accept prescription requests from online pharmacies, such as chewy.com or 1800PetMeds?
At this time, we are not able to authorize prescription requests from online pharmacies.
We are able to provide some products directly. For those we cannot, we are happy to provide a written prescription that can be submitted to the pharmacy of your choice. Alternatively, most all products can be ordered and shipped to you from our online pharmacy. Items ordered from our online pharmacy ship directly from the manufacturer with all product guarantees in place.
What if my pet has an emergency?
Unfortunately we are not available for emergency care in most situations. We understand that at times the need for euthanasia can arise suddenly. We do our best to maintain availability for that purpose, and do not require a pet owner to be an established client for that service. We are not available, however, for other emergencies or urgent care for our non-clients. If you have a pet emergency, we recommend contacting your regular vet clinic or your local veterinary emergency facility.

Will you perform annual exams and vaccinations at my home?
We are not currently accepting patients for routine wellness care, such as vaccines, heartworm testing, heartworm treatment, etc. Our focus is on ensuring the best palliative and end-of-life care possible for senior pets, and maintaining availability for those patients when they need us. We recommend that pet owners establish a relationship with a local veterinary clinic in order to maintain preventative care for their pets, and have a resource if their pet becomes ill. If you are unsure whether your pet would benefit from our services, please feel free to reach out to us or ask your regular veterinarian for the best options for your pet.
